About us...
TRDF Media corporate communications and media advisory is the brainchild of Luke Barras-Hill, a seasoned B2B journalist and editor with more than 15 years' experience in the global travel retail, duty free and aviation industries and a wealth of contacts.
Prior to establishing TRDF Media, Luke spent nine years at TRBusiness where he held senior leadership roles including Editorial Director & Non-Exec Board Member. During that time, he was instrumental in driving editorial excellence and innovation across a portfolio comprising magazines, websites and events.

As an accomplished moderator, he co-hosted the inaugural consumer-voted Travel Retail Awards in 2018, TR Sustainability Week in 2021 and the TR Consumer Forum in 2021. He led editorial and production teams to champion consecutively successful conference programmes, achieving standout attendee satisfaction scores for the TR Consumer Forum across numerous metrics in 2024 and 2025.

As an NCTJ-qualified journalist, Luke has also held senior editorial positions with and contributed to a variety of B2B publications spanning the international luxury goods, fintech, property, built environment and automotive markets. He has lived and worked internationally, from the UK to China, and now resides in Toronto, Canada.
